Still poking away at college, still having trouble with certain people I live with... nothing terribly new in those areas. I'm angry at my college right now for putting me in a class that was way beyond my mathematical skills and then when I finally got the guts up to complain about this problem and suggest they raise the mathematical requirements, the Dean of Math and Science pretty much told me, tough luck. The class in question happens to be a Physics class where the core seems to be trig... which I am no where near taking and the official requirements suggests only algebra level skills. The Dean told me, oh, it "assumes" - his exact word - that you've taken trig at some point in time and have just "forgotten it." *growls* You know what they say about 'assume?' You make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me,' not to mention waste my time and precious little money that I have. I had to drop the class because it was not only way out of my skills, but it was ridiculously difficult even for those who were at the proper math level. This class seemed more interested in giving you a 'C' and pushing you along, whether you learned something or not.

Frustrations at school aside, life hasn't been pleasant in recent months. My cat disappeared on Feb. 13th... and I really miss her... I just hope she is happier wherever she may be... *tries to be positive....* I have a photo of her in my scraps... my beautiful Rogue Princess....

Eric's mentally unbalanced step-brother got out of jail in December sometime, I think, and has been living here since. The police have been regular visitors at least once every month because of physical fights... people have finally gotten to the point where they call the police BEFORE a fight starts now - what a revelation! - and why the creature's parole hasn't been violated yet from all the complaints and attacks on others persons in the house is beyond me. Apparently he needs to murder someone in order for something like that to happen.

Other school things bothering me: Registration for summer and fall semesters begins next week, and the college isn't offering any useful classes that I need for summer... I feel like community college is seriously lacking in its support of students wanting to major in science... it's getting annoying.

I went to the eye doctors today - nearly spending $300 on new frames and lenses. *sobs* My eyes have actually IMPROVED since my last eye exam almost 4 years ago! I was amazed... I also had blood vessels growing over my corneas those 4 years ago and those have turned into ghost vessels so I can wear contacts again with severely limited use, not that I can afford them. I also have a very slight astigmatism(?) in one of my eyes. I'm not sure how long it will take for the new lenses to come in and be ready. I chose plastic frames this time; the doctor was saying they won't hurt the bridge of my nose as much as the metal ones.

There's really nothing all that big going on besides that which was previously mentioned... oh, our car got broken into and the radio that doesn't even work was stolen (joke's on them) a couple hours ago. But yeah, let's wait and see how it can get any more miserable. I'm sure something can be figured out.
